Spindrift Campervan Conversion(Last Updated On: November 19, 2017)
Customers Campervan Idea’s
When a customer gets in touch and says they have an idea for a bespoke camper conversion were always keen to see what they have designed. Some of our more bespoke conversions can be more challenging to design and manufacture however we do relish a challenge.
Mark’s background is an apprentice trained cabinet maker and thinks there is no better feeling than creating a Campervan from a customer’s sketch then seeing their delight when you open the door to their brand new Campervan.
Bespoke Campervan key Focus
Martin first contacted Vanguard Conversions about his idea for a bespoke conversion by sending us an email listing his requirements along with a rough sketch, which he named Spindrift…
We were very intrigued as Martin had lots of gadgets and gizmo’s he also wanted to have installed, Martin did emphasise that he wanted a lounge style theme but with all the equipment & facilities you would expect in a full campervan conversion.
We asked Martin to come in for an appointment so we could get a feel of the person behind the idea and the conversion he desired and from the offset we were all thinking along the same lines. Martin’s feedback from our initial meeting.
“Hi Mark and Niki,
Just a quick thank you for a fantastic first meeting. Had that feel good factor all the way home. It’s going to be a fun journey”
Bespoke Campervan Layout
We took all the information Martin gave us and started looking a different layouts that might appeal to him as you can see from our images above this was a great way to get a better understanding of what Martin liked & disliked.
We asked Martin to pop back to visit us so we could go through colour scheme’s. Martin’s initial thoughts were to incorporate the colours from the front cab seats he had recently re-upholstered and then kindly left the rest up to ourselves.
This particular design has excellent storage areas throughout with the added bonus of a usable living area, which converts into a comfortable bed at night, however the vehicle also had an SCA 195 rear elevating pop top roof installed. There is swivel seat bases on both front seats one of them with a safe underneath and both can be turned round once parked up.
There is also a cooker/sink, top loading fridge accessible inside & outside, gas heater, power management system with plugs for both 240 volt for when hooked up on campsite’s and 12 Volt ideal for wild freedom camping, Bluetooth audio system, a Fiamma F45 black awning and more led strip lighting than an airport runway…
Our customer was kind enough to provide us with some feedback:
“Hi Mark and Nicola. I Just love love love it. The most enjoyable experience of spending money imaginable, all thanks to you and your amazing approach converting a dream into perfect reality. Well done and many thanks. You do realise you’ll never get rid of me”
Customer Communication & Satisfaction
It was such a pleasure to work with Martin as we rarely get free reign to work on a campervan that had so many elements to be included.
Martin had the confidence in Vanguard knowing that we had a huge passion for our work with a catalogue of knowledge and experience in producing excellent quality builds.
We hope Martin has many happy adventure’s in Spindrift 😉
